Another web developer

I’m Benoit Vidis. I currently live in Montpellier, in France.

After having being in charge of the development of the European ecommerce sites of Packard Bell and Acer, I am now working as a web developer for Kaliop.

I need to confess I am a geek. I love computers, technology and coding.
Even if, because of my work, I mostly code on LAMP platforms, I am also interested in most coding practices and environments.

OK, I am not an expert but I can also read and code (more or less fluently) in C, C++, C#, VB, Java, Javascript, Perl, Bash, Boo, Python, Lisp, Prolog and some other ones I must have forgotten.

In a general way, I try not to be an integrist. Most of my home systems run on Ubuntu but I also keep a Windows Vista for its brilliant Media Center.
In the debate regarding the integration of Mono in Ubuntu, I am on the side of those who consider that the Linux community should not avoid a great technology based on anti-Microsoft principles.
